I Got My Cake!

Last night we had our cake appointment with Jay at Maple's Wedding Cakes in Murfreesboro. It was wonderful! As soon as I tasted the almond cake, I knew what I wanted. It was exactly what I had in mind when I said I wanted almond flavored cake!
Plus, I forgot my picture of what I wanted the cake to look like, so I drew it at work, and as soon as Jay saw it, he pulled out the page from the Martha Stewart magazine. Tom and I both thought that was the mark of a true cake professional (that he reads all the wedding magazines to see new cake designs). The lady at A Catered Affair had never seen my cake, which is from the most recent Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine.
When we left, Jay hugged me, and I told him how excited I was about the cake. As soon as we got to the car, I started squealing. My cake is going to be so awesome!
