David's Bridal
I went to David's Bridal last weekend with April. I wasn't particularly impressed. I thought Melissa over at A Bride's Storey was a much better salesperson. (And incidentally, I am much more inclined to buy a dress from her)
Anyway, despite making an appointment, my salesperson had several brides she was working with, which meant that April had to fasten all the dresses. I was also disappointed that my salesperson didn't make any reccomendations on dresses she thought I might like. She only showed me two dresses on the rack that I wanted to try, because they only had about four that were champagne-colored instead of stark white.
At A Bride's Storey, Melissa would ask what I liked and didn't like, and then she would run off and bring back other dresses she thought I might like.
Besides all of that, David's Bridal insisted that I wear one of their bras, and a David's crinoline slip. That pissed me off, especially since she didn't have any bras anywhere near my size. So, I ended up wearing my own anyway. Then, when I came out to stand by the mirror, she shoved a tiara on my head (which I don't plan on wearing) and slapped on a veil. I'm surprised she didn't fling shoes at my head. Then she pressured me to a) buy that day, and when I said I needed to consult my mother, b) told me to call her and have her come on out. My salesperson also gave me crap because I hadn't decided on my colors yet. Grrggh...
