Weddings Are Frustrating

We had a fairly busy weekend. We took Tom's mom, Susan, to see the Country Club. She says she loves it.

I like it as well, but everytime I see that huge room, empty of everything but carpet and wallpaper, I feel overwhelmed about decorating it all over again. And the chairs are... to be kind... a little... ugly. Brass with green upholstery.

I am sure everything will work out. I am sure of this because it's what everyone keeps telling me, but this is a boatload of work for one day.

This weekend we celebrated Tom's birthday. We went to Cici's Pizza on Friday, out to Puleo's with my parents on Saturday (and Patricia, of course) and Olive Garden with his mom on Sunday. Tom got a PSP. He seems pretty excited about it. (Tom's birthday is actually today, and I got him a big chocolate cake!)

I've managed to narrow lots of things down, but this wedding business is just completely opposite of how I normally do things. Normally, I find something I like, fairly quickly, and just get it. But with this, I have to compare, and call, and email multiple times, and check costs, and, I'm fairly certain that I will have to haggle at some point. I hate haggling. With a passion. Almost as much as I hate spiders. At least haggling doesn't have creepy-crawly-too-many-legs.
